With an increasing number of clients based in the capital and the south-east, the need for a London base for Century became increasingly important.

The building at 100 Pall Mall, in the heart of the St James’s area of central London, was formerly the site of the original Carlton Club until the historic gentlemen’s club was destroyed by bombs in the Second World War. Previous members of the Carlton Club included Gladstone and Disraeli.
